Financial climate risks
The training course in detail
Overall theme and context
The aim of this two-part mini-MOOC (massive open online course) is to provide keys to understanding the financial risks associated with climate change. The first part of the course will help participants identify physical and transitional climate risks, the issues these risks raise for regulators and financial institutions, and how taking better account of them can help to transform an economy. In the second part of the course, AFD experts will lead an analysis of the specific processes by which climate change risks affect different economic stakeholders.
Learning objectives
- To master the concepts of the physical and transitional risks associated with climate change.
- To understand the issues involved in incorporating climate change into the risk analysis of a project.
- To examine the emergence of French and European regulatory framework.
- To be familiar with AFD’s roadmap and the practices used to integrate climate risk analysis into its operations.
