Welcome to this online training offered by AFD, on the procurement of contracts it finances.

This training course is primarily aimed at beneficiaries of AFD funds who need to select contractors to implement project activities using these funds (contracts for works, goods, consulting services, other services) outside France.

Learning objectives

This training presents the fundamental principles and processes expected by AFD in terms of procurement when implementing AFD-funded projects. The training program is based on the Procurement Guidelines for AFD-financed contracts in foreign countries and on AFD’s standard bidding documents.

In detail, this program covers all the procurement steps: from the preparation of the procurement plan, the request for expression of interest or pre-qualification (if applicable), the preparation of the request for proposals or of the bidding documents, to the evaluation and award of the contract.
