Overall theme and context

This MOOC (massive open online course) presents artificial intelligence from A to Z and provides keys to understanding and exploring this transformative technology. What is artificial intelligence? To what extent do we interact with it in our daily lives? What are the challenges and opportunities associated with this revolution? This course answers these questions. First, participants will learn more about what is meant by artificial intelligence (AI). Then, they will identify the changes that AI is bringing to society. Finally, they will learn how an artificial intelligence project works and the most commonly used forms of AI: Machine Learning and Deep Learning.

Learning objectives

To train as many people as possible in the fundamentals of artificial intelligence (definition, practical applications, critical perspective, etc.).
To reach as broad a public as possible (this training programme is offered in French and English, has no prerequisites, and is free of charge).

Teaching and activities

The training takes the form of a free course lasting less than six hours. It includes a series of videos and interactive exercises:

• Part 1 – Discovering artificial intelligence
• Part 2 – Identifying the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence.
• Part 3 – Managing an artificial intelligence project.
• Part 4 – Concluding thoughts.
