Overall theme and context

The Maïtena Master’s degree programme is the result of collaboration between Campus AFD, the Catholic University of Central Africa (UCAC) and the Université Senghor (Université de la Francophonie). Designed to meet the needs of development professionals, it is based on the MODEV Master’s programme and the Master’s in project management offered by the Université Senghor in Alexandria. The Maïtena programme covers project cycles as well as 21st-century skills, transition issues, and sector-specific problems.

Training objectives

  • To strengthen project management skills.
  • To acquire the expertise required to play a leading role within institutions.

Teaching and activities

Courses take place mainly in the evenings and on weekends at the Catholic University of Central Africa in Yaoundé, along with some distance-learning courses managed by the Campus AFD. The Campus AFD and the Université Senghor also support educators and professors to help them incorporate active teaching methods into their courses.
