Overall theme and context

Campus AFD and makesense Africa are firmly committed to transforming ways of thinking, doing, and being by promoting soft skills and creating new shared frames of reference that will help people achieve the Sustainable Development Goals together. To succeed in this transformation, it is essential to provide tools and resources to a community of stakeholders dedicated to fostering and facilitating collective intelligence as a way to accelerate change. With this in mind, the makesense Africa campus and the Campus AFD have designed the Facil4Dev training course for applying collective intelligence methods to accelerate transitions in West Africa.

Traning objectives

  • To seize opportunities for mobilising collective intelligence in the sustainable development and international cooperation sectors.
  • To understand the keys to facilitating and designing collective intelligence sessions.
  • To increase the range of tools and experiences available to encourage collective intelligence and creativity.
  • To build a network of facilitators committed to cooperation.

Teaching and activities

This course is designed for people who are already experienced in facilitating collective intelligence initiatives. It is based on an engaging teaching approach with considerable time for practical work and peer-to-peer sharing.
