Inauguration: a Campus “en grand” in Marseille

Published on 22 May 2024

The new AFD Group Campus was officially launched in Marseille on May 15 at the Friche Belle de Mai with over 150 participants, in the presence of AFD Chief Executive Officer Rémy Rioux, the first deputy mayor of Marseille Michèle Rubirola and the President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, Renaud Muselier, as well as numerous partners from the Aix-Marseille region and colleagues from the AFD Group.

The inauguration in Marseilles, under the banner “Marseille en Grand”, illustrates AFD’s growing role in the region’s dynamic development, at a time when Marseilles’ news resonates internationally with the recent arrival of the Olympic flame on French soil.

“Marseille is a window on the Mediterranean and the world, a city of intermingling and interculturality, a place of solidarity and creativity. We’re delighted to continue to be anchored here. With the new AFD Group Campus, we’re thinking big about Marseille,” says Rémy Rioux. “In its new format, the Campus will give a strong boost to training, at a time when we need to change our habits and practices to support transitions towards sustainable development,” he adds.

The new Campus brings together the AFD Group’s internal and external training, reinforcing this mission within the Group and affirming that transitions involve people and intercultural dialogue.

A new era begins.

The new Group Campus is open to all, with equal access to educational resources and training platforms. Its ambition is to create spaces where we can get to know each other better, between colleagues, partners and customers, to compare our understandings, experiences and experiments, to forge links around this project to reinvent our ways of being in the world.
