Governments around the world, and particularly those in developing countries, are finding it difficult to build and maintain the infrastructure they need to grow their economies and deliver basic public services to their citizens. PPPs have long been used to finance and build infrastructure. Set up under the right conditions, these partnerships can be a viable option for developing infrastructure that generates growth and provides quality essential public services to citizens. The English MOOC was launched in 2015 and it is now available in French.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-alt-heading-1\">Learning objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To understand the role of PPPs in the development of infrastructure for public services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-alt-heading-1\">Teaching and activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This programme is structured around four topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Week 1 \u2013 Reducing the infrastructure deficit: the role of PPPs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Week 2 \u2013 Making the right decisions: the legislative and institutional frameworks for PPPs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Week 3 \u2013 Engaging the right partner: PPP procurement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Week 4 \u2013 Achieving a successful partnership: PPP implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants will benefit from the expertise of professionals with field experience, government officials, and leading academics.
