Implementing decentralisation policies usually involves a gradual transfer of powers to local authorities, which then emerge as key actors as territories develop and undergo social and environmental transitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cFinancial Training for Local Authorities\u201d course enables public servants and elected representatives to acquire a solid understanding of their local authority\u2019s financial situation and to identify the factors that will allow them to optimise their scope for action to meet the needs of their area. The course has been designed with three formats that are adapted to different types of participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-alt-heading-1\">Learning objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To create a community of learners to collectively consider the financial situation of a local authority.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To learn about the available tools and resources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To identify strategic policies in order to develop coherent budget and financial choices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-alt-heading-1\">Teaching and activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This training course, co-designed with the World Bank, is available in 2 formats to meet everyone&#8217;s expectations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>100% distance learning format (MOOC): free distance learning over 5 weeks, for candidates wishing to learn the fundamentals of financial strategy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full program (hybrid): 7 weeks of supervised distance learning, followed by a one-week seminar in Marseille, where participants can work together on their own projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Translated with DeepL.com (free version)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-alt-heading-1\">Registration details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The course is available in two formats:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a MOOC accessible at any time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the hybrid tutored course welcomes 2 classes of 30 participants each year.
